Mission Statement

Our mission is to train intellectually curious, compassionate, and competent family medicine physicians committed to caring for the rural underserved.

Program Benefits:

  • Unopposed program, meaning there are no other residencies to compete with for procedures, rotations, etc. in the Pittsburg area
  • Ample 1 on 1 time with preceptors, faculty, and program director
  • A new program in a supportive learning environment that continues to grow and develop with input from our residents, faculty, and communities
  • The opportunity to train alongside KU’s urban family medicine residents in an academic learning center
  • Moving allowance to assist all residents in their move from Kansas City to Pittsburg, KS in PGY2
